Medici Oriental Rug

• Based on an original Asmara watercolor painting by Elizabeth Moisan inspired by Florentine silk damasks depicted in Renaissance paintings. The watercolor technique naturally created hundreds of subtle shades, from yellows, yellow greens and blue greens, to tonally color the graceful palmettes and oval lattices on this textured ground in many shades of cream.
• This hand made cut and loop pile rug was made by combining a loop weave invented by Asmara with the ancient French Savonnerie pile weave. Woven with a complex yarn made up several yarns of different shades, this rug has a unique texture and shading variations reminiscent of rare antique rugs.
• Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA.Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets.
