  • Based on an original Asmara painting inspired by17th century Persian silk brocades at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The recurring pattern of flower heads cupped inside curving vines is rendered in gold, apple green and touches of eggplant on a dark brown ground.
  • This hand made cut and loop pile rug was made by combining a loop weave invented by Asmara with the ancient French Savonnerie pile weave. Woven with a complex yarn made up several yarns of different shades, this rug has a unique texture and shading variations reminiscent of rare antique rugs.
  • Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA.
  • Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets.
