  • Based on an original Asmara painting done in the style of Pompeian Frescoes of ceiling paintings. Yellow-green leaves and flowers in shades of porcelain-blue, persimmon and yellow branch toward the center on a cream and oatmeal, fresco ground.
  • This hand made cut and loop rug was made by combining a loop weave invented by Asmara with the Savonnerie pile weave. We used ancient French dyeing methods to create thousands of shade and texture variations reminiscent of the frescoes of Pompeii.
  • Also available in needlepoint as shown at right.
  • Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA.
  • Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets.
  • Use with a pad.
