  • Algarve is based on an original Asmara painting inspired by 19th century Portuguese needlepoint embroideries. Lyrical vines with Caribbean blue, persimmon and burnt tangerine flowers rest on a dark olive ground. The colors are based on dried flowers our owner purchased in a Tuscan palazzo.
  • Combining ancient Savonnerie dyeing and weaving methods with a loop weave invented by Asmara, this cut and loop pile rug has subtle shade and texture variations reminiscent of the best antique rugs.
  • Also available in needlepoint as shown at right.
  • Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA.
  • In addition to the sizes shown, you may also order custom colors and sizes. The largest custom size is 27ft. x 39ft. or 8m x 12m. Custom shapes include round, oval and square.
  • Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets.
  • Use with a pad.
